On 27 October 2006, we sealed the first Saxon-Tatarstan joint venture with the company ELAZ from the Russian town of Elabuga. The contract was signed at the re-opening of Lomma GmbH, by the CEO of the motor company ELAZ (Ravil Kh. Zaripov) and the Managing Partner of Lomma GmbH (Martin Spieß).

In future, the ELAZ group will be carrying out both the production and sale of ground support equipment, agricultural trailers and equipment for oil drilling rigs in the Russian Federation. A quote from Ravil Zaripov, “We deliver tractors for the whole of Russia”, is an impressive demonstration of the huge market ELAZ faces.

To enable people to get in touch locally, since November 2006 Lomma GmbH has employed two members of staff in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan.
